Message Replied To ========== here's what I don't get..... I played sports and partied in college. Granted, not D1 football at a major university, but still - I was 20, away from home, having a great time, drinking, staying out late, etc etc. I didn't have a problem not getting arrested. These guys that play for Florida and any other big deal program in a small town SHOULD KNOW THAT THEY ARE TARGETS. IT IS NOT THAT DIFFICULT TO UNDERSTAND. Why no respect for police officers? Why even get yourself into these situations? I know damn well b/c I was in some situations (like many of us were) where fights broke out or parties got busted or whatever it was that caused police to show up YOU SHOWED RESPECT FOR OFFICERS AND DID WHAT THEY TOLD YOU TO DO and generally things worked out.
I'm sorry, but being a #badword#ing moron is not an excuse.
BBG ==============================You're out, you're walking down the road in a good mood, and you see a dog bark, so you don't sit there and think "Hmm, what are the potential ramifications of barking at dog?", you just give a "woof woof" back and keep walking. Yeah, "those dog are police officers", whatever. They're dogs. People don't react to dogs like they do people. It's VERY unlikely that Mo would have walked past a uniformed cop and said "High five, my man!" in the middle of an arrest. But a dog barking? I can totally see barking back without thinking about it, TOTALLY INNOCENTLY. Then the cops had to go show how in charge they were and things went from there. |
