I know that this is a college football problem, not an FSU problem.  And its frankly pretty disgusting.  The quote that really hacks me off is "in 2 years, I'll be able to buy you".  We, yes, we, collectively, have created this monster.  We track the recruitment of this little kids from 7th grade and treat them like gods.  Then we get all giddy when they pick our hat.  When they pick another hat, we mock them for being childish and hope they turn out to be less than we had planned playing for our rival.  

Something has to be done.  We can't collectively do much, but individually I can control my fandom.  This Cook thing has me pledging to give up following recruiting.  Not sure I can give up signing day, but I want to try to just pay attention to the who is on the team now and the games and quit following the rest.  I think a few of you have done this or maybe never did follow the coronation of high school stars.  I want to join your ranks.  The coaches will continue to be required to blow smoke up recruits butts, so my action does nothing... but it lets me know I had zero to do with creating the next Davin Cook or Chris Rainey.
