I think part of the issue is that most of the media guys that have hot takes on UF-LSU show up and take the elevator to their spot on media row, watch the game, write their story and then head home... they don't see/know everything that is involved in putting on the event.

events as they attend.  I have worked for three professional sports teams, 1 baseball, 1 basketball and 1 hockey.  I worked closely for 7 years with event staff management for a stadium that held about 48,000 people, roughly half of what Florida Field holds.  The seasonal event staff hire for that season was about 2,000 employees, which did not include outside security, medical, most media, concessions, etc. I do not know the particulars of a game day @ UF for football when it comes to this kind of thing, but I promise you it is 1000's of people from all over the place that have to be there a day or more before to make a game happen.  The uproar about this game bening postponed or even canceled is ridiculous, and the media types who are criticzing UF or the SEC are #badword#ing clueless, but we knew that already.  We are seeing the same thing in sports media that we do in politics and news - make everything sensational, make sure there is a villian, get people fired up b/c people don't really care about the facts they just want to be pissed at someone or something.
