(or outright hatred and contempt) for Trump and the Republicans leads to hyperbole such as "evil", comparisons to Nazis and mullahs in Iran, etc.  In some ways very reminiscent of De Niro's outburst recently.  It's one thing to call attention to something specific with which one has issue, particularly if offering a counter viewpoint or option, but matching Trump et. al. wrt demeanor is likely to turn off a number of folks who aren't particularly fond of Trump.
