Perhaps they should disband.  In fact, both parties should disband and we should start over.  I really couldn't possibly care less about which party ends up in the White House, all I want is a candidate that is a legitimate world leader.  It is stunning and horrifying that a nation with such incredible human talent can only produce Bush, Gore and the #badword#ing ketchup guy as presidential candidates for the last two elections.  If that is the best that our process can produce then the process is beyond #badword#ed up and must be scraped and rebuilt from the ground up.  I just flat out don't believe in party politics anymore.  Is it even necessary nowadays?  I have basically lost interest in following any of it anymore because every political discussion ends up in party line BS.  Real issues never get addressed.  I say throw out the two parties and have individuals run on their own merits.
