we must win the war (the one in Iraq and the more amorphous "war on terror") and we should not tuck tail and run (mainly in Iraq). But that does not mean criticism is not warranted and necessary. A real war is one where the populous feels the war as much as you obviously do as a service member. This is an observation about our laid-back attitude about war . . . I would think you would want our full attention during war. Since WWII when we did commit to war fully our record of winning is not that good. Perhaps these things are linked? Perhaps it is not reflection on your service, or our military but how engaged we as a people are in these wars? Perhaps our leaders (civilian) sell you short by saying we can have GUNS and BUTTER and not asking the general public to give up some butter so you get more guns (guns being every facet of conflict and resolution of war)?
You have to follow the POTUS as your duty demands it . . . my duty demands that I hold him accountable. If this causes you and I conflict, I am sorry.
