AOL Supervisor: Bob, we've decided to let you go.
Bob: I'm sorry to hear that. You've had me an an employee for a long time.
AOL: Yes, but times are tough and you are no longer in our plans.
Bob: Yeah, I've put in a lot of work for you lately. What was the cause of wanting to let me go today?
AOL: We just can't use you any more.
Bob: Do you have another department you're going to give my work to?
AOL: Yes.
Bob: But you've been using me a lot lately.
AOL: Yes, but we need to consolidate our resources.
Bob: OK, well is there a problem with the work I've done?
AOL: No, we just don't need you any more.
Bob: And the work you had me do, was this for business or pleasure?
AOL: Huh?
Bob: Oh right - business. Of course.
AOL: Look, can we just get this done? We don't want you here any more.
Bob: Looking at my hours worked, last week I put in 40 hours, pretty much the same for the last several years. You've been consistently using my service with no problems, right?
AOL: I don't know how to make this any more clear. You are fired.
Bob: Well, explain to me what's...
AOL: I'm not explaining anything. Just leave.
Bob: What's wrong? I'm just trying to help here.
AOL: You're not helping.
Bob: I'm trying to help.
AOL: Listen. I have to let you go. Helping me would be packing up your stuff and going home.
Bob: No, it wouldn't actually be a good thing to let me go right now...
AOL: Go away.
Bob: Letting me go would...
AOL: Get lost
Bob: would be the worst thing that...
AOL: Get outta here.
Bob: OK, cause I'm just trying to find out...
AOL: You're fired. I don't know how to make this any clearer to you. Go home. I don't mean try to help me figure out how to keep your job, I mean you're done.
Bob: Well I'm sorry, I don't know what anybody's done to you because all I'm....
AOL: Will you please leave?
Bob: All right, when you calm down you're gonna realize I was just trying to help you and it was in your best interest to listen to me....
AOL: OK
Bob: Have you tried my messenger service?
AOL Supervisor: THAT'S IT *I* QUIT!!!!! (storms out)
Bob: Well, hope I helped that guy.
