to hear it from me, but as totally unsolicited advice goes, here is mine. I stopped posting regularly in the Lounge in part due to board rules, but mostly because it was not fun anymore. I tended to mostly lurk, and then to post only when I was pissed off by something (or someone), and it showed. As to the board rules that support the thin veneer of civilization here (respect other posters, no foul language), those rules were invented expressly for me. Because, in truth, I didn't respect other posters. Then, a funny thing happened. I met some of them in real life, and I liked every one of them. Without exception. And I realized that it was just our board personas that didn't get along, and that that was to some extent my fault for only posting when I was pissed off (it was partially their fault, too, because their board personas were idiots).
So, my long awaited and richly anticipated unsolicited advice is this: relax, this is virtual, not real, and it's supposed to be fun. The Lounge exists to air differences of opinion, so you might expect there to be some. All the rest is just pissing in the wind.
