they're just losing fanship from the king of football conferences by pimping the big ABC game instead of the big game every week. I haven't watched a full Gameday since it went to 90 minutes anyway, but here's the thing . . .
Gameday/ESPN/ABC influence things in college football, whether we like it or not. The SEC does not get the credit it deserves partly because the hype machine rolls for the other conferences- ACC/Big Ten/PAC-10/Big XII- and it does not roll the same for the SEC because CBS sucks and doesn't have nearly the influence that ABC does. If this weren't the case, I'd be able to totally dismiss the crap that GameDay/ESPN pull. But it matters. The hype matters with the polls. Watch OSU and USC go unbeaten and AU or LSU or UF or somebody be left out of the mix for the second time in 3 years. It may not happen that way- but if it does, you bet the SEC will be the one left out.
