when we beat you in September of 1998, you fell, just like every other team that loses a game. You had time to come back up the ranks by December. That's just the way the polls have always worked. Lose early, have a chance. Lose late, forget it. Always-- that's how it's been. Whether that's right or wrong, I don't care. That's just how the polls work. Until now. Until Michigan. Until ESPN and ABC declare that this time it should be different. And the result? It is different. They made it different. That's why it's wrong. |
