I was rooting for Arkanasas early in the game last night. But as the game went on, I really couldn't choose a preference because neither team deserved to lose. What an amazing football game. And then I really started thinking about UF. What your guys did this season is pretty incredible and I think a lot of style points should be given for the mere fact that your defense NEVER had a letdown game. They really are the heart and soul of that team.
But your playmakers on offense really showed a lot of heart too. Anyway, if you look at UF overall, I think a lot should be said for your A.D. and the choices that the administration has made. Your basketball and football coaches are young, fit, classy gentlemen who seem to run very tight ships that expect excellence on and off the field. I think the demeanor and the way the coach carries himself is very important and your coaches seem to lead by example. If I can say one thing about UF, the players just deliver, the fans are the "showboaters". I don't know that I can think of a time when UF looked "thug-ish". The players always seem cool and focused.
What UF has done this year is really impressive and you deserve the right to be proud as hell. I think your coaches are pretty special and while last night was a game for the history books, I think it's fair to say that in the long run, the best (by a very thin margin) team won.
Good luck tonight. It is time for the NC to come back to the SEC.
