Yes the Gators lost. Yes the Coaching staff has problems. Yes the kids could have played better. WE ALL KNEW that this was going to be a rough year. Sure I had higher expectations for the team, but I felt that 8-4 was probably where they would end up. At least we beat UT and UGA(again). F$U had their backs against the wall. All the scandal and their fans wanting ST Booby's head had their team fired up. And they out played UF. UF made far to many mistakes, sluggish offense, pourous defense, and don't even get me started the special teams. The team was just unprepared. I believe that there will be some serious changes in the coaching staff next year. But I am not ready to give up on Ron Zook. Zook is a CLASS act, he is a good man who cares about the players and staff. Of course he wants to win. But just think of the pressure he has been under since day one. Can you seriously name anyone who could fill SOS's shoes? Well can you? WE as fans were spoiled. WE expected to win every game. WE knew that if UF was down by twenty something points, they would come back. WE expected to hang 50 on every team. I can remember when fans would bitch when UF did not score 50+ points. Spurrier made mistakes too. Special teams sucked then. And UF did not have the best defense it could have. Offense was priority one, he felt that he could just outscore most opponents and then just hang on. Do you remember when UF was the "doormat" of the SEC? They could hardly ever beat UGA. Zook did it in his first year. So, I got a message for all you bandwagon fans. GO away! WE don't want you! Shut the hell up! And give Zook and the team a break! And if next year the team goes 5-6 I WILL STILL BE A GATOR FAN! "We are all strong for old Florida, Down where the old Gators play.
