You could be a fan of Tennessee and watched your #5 preseason ranked Vols go 8-4 and lose to Zook's Gators. You could of course have some solace in knowing it was because yur entire team was injured but does that really make it better? You could be a fan of Washington #9 preseason and watched your team go 7-5. Of course you beat your rival Washington St but Rick Niehiesal is still your coach. You could be a fan of Nebraska #10 preseason and watch your team go 7-6. You also had to watch every record for continued excellence come to a screatching hault this season (including consecutive 9 win seasons). You could be a fan of LSU #14 in the preseason. #1 defense, beating Florida in the Swamp- man were you riding high there for awhile. Then you finish 8-4 and you have to live with the fact you lost a winner take everything game with Arkansas. A game in which your team allowed the forward pass challenged Hogs to drive it the lenght of the field in the closing minute. You could be a fan of Oregon #15 in the preseason. Can you say one hit wonder. Oregon finished 7-5 in a tough Pac 10. You could be a fan of Virginia Tech ranked #16 in the preseason and reached as high as #4 when the season got rolling. Then your team lost 3 games in a row. Three games. You still have to play Miami and if you lose you are 9-4- thanks for playing. You could be Michigan State ranked #18 in the preseason. Do I rally have to say more than 4-8 or should I mention the QB is in rehab and the coach was fired. You could be South Carolina ranked #22 in the preseason. Your team thought they had a chance to move up in the SEC East but you went 5-7 and you are not having a debate about which bowl your team should get invited to. Why, because you aren't eligible for a bowl. You could be Texas A&M ranked #23 in the preseason. Your team actually beat Nebraska but you still finished 6-6. You also had Texas put up 50 on you. On the positive side maybe R.C. is on the way out. You could be Wisconson ranked #25 in the preseason. At least you beat Fresno State this year but then again you went 2-6 in the Big Ten. You could be Georgia ranked #8 in the preseason. You won the SEC East but you still lost to UF for the 12 time in 13 seasons. In fact that is your only loss. Texas #4 preseason did not win the division in the Big 12 Oklahoma #2 lost to Oklahoma State (7-5) for the second straight season. FSU #3 lost 4 games.
