"Chris Leak's assault on the record books final"

(Collaboration by a few posters)

Chris ends the season with 232 of 365 passes completed for a 63.5% rate. This year he passed for 23 touchdowns and 2,942 yards.

For his career thus far at Florida that makes him with ELEVEN THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED THIRTEEN (just over 6.25 miles) total passing yards and number TWO among all in SEC college football history.

10. Rex Grossman with 9,164
9. Shane Matthews with 9,287
8. Casey Clausen with 9,707
7. Eli Manning with 10,119
6. Jared Lorenzen with 10,354
5. Danny Wuerffel with 10,875
4. Eric Zeier with 11,153
3. Peyton Manning with 11,201

2. CHRIS LEAK with 11,213
1. David Greene with 11,528

He has now completed 895 passes of 1388 attemps at UF and brought the Florida Gators 88 passing touchdowns finishing 3rd all-time in the SEC behind Peyton with 89 and Danny with 114 TD's thrown in his career.

He is now 35-12 as the starting quarterback for the Gators!

We're all delighted with the way he played Monday and appreciate his career at UF. There is no better way for him to end his UF carer than with a National Championship. Speaking on behalf of all Gator fans, we thank you, Chris, for everything you've done during your 4 years here and wish you nothing but success in your future.
