for those who couldn't attend or watch on TV, wish you could have been there my Gator brothers and sisters, I wish you could have been there.

I couldn't help but notice that the place was loaded, like 60-70%, with the Duval, Alachua, Marion, Baker, Sumter, Polk county resident good ol boy never been to campus for anything but a football game type of Gators. I think a lot of those folks are probably lucky if they can afford to go to one game a year, but this championship clearly meant a lot to them and they were out in force for this. My hat's off to em, this Bud's for you good ol boy Gators.

Coach Meyer spoke first. Talked about how for 30 days everybody talked about how the Gators didn't belong, but now the whole country knows what the team knew for those 30 days, that the Gators belonged all right. He also mentioned his first visit to Gainesville ten years ago when he was recruiting for some school up north. Said the first thing he noticed when walking around campus was seeing the most beautiful women he had ever seen in his life, and how everyone on campus just loved being a Florida Gator. He said he walked into the stadium that day and looked around, and later told his family that is where we need to be one day.

Meyer then introduced the coaches and senior class. Charlie Strong, Ray Mac, Earl Everett, Billy Latsko, Tim Higgins, and Chris Hetland were all very well received, but the grandest applause of all were reserved for Chris Leak.

Dallas Baker and Jemelle Cornelius then invited Brandon Siler and Reggie Nelson up on stage to lead the entire stadium in the "If you aint a Gator, you must be Gator bait.... .... GATOR BAIT". Great fun, but I don't think Jay-Z has to worry about any competition from our players.

They did a few quick interviews. One with Reggie Nelson and Ray Mcdonald in which Steve Babik asked, so I here Charlie Strong and Coach Mattison are really jealous of you guys hair, haha. They talked to Tim Tebow and Percy Harvin. That one was highlighted by Tim saying it was the best decision of his life to come to the University of Florida and when Percy said he'd do whatever they need him to do next year- if I have to go out on defense and take Reggie's place that's cool. My favorite line in these interview sessions though was when they spoke to Jemelle Cornelius they asked him who the best receiver was on this team, he looked at the underclassmen and pointed at his friend and said oh no doubt #7 Cornelius Ingram.

Mike Slive came out and gave a boring speech, blah blah blah. He did unveil the MNC trophy which was pretty cool. They then unveiled the new SEZ paintings. Wish I had a picture, but it finally hit me when I saw it, we're in the club. We're one of the few schools that have multiple National Titles. We're a true football school, one of the great programs, we're in the #badword#ing club baby!!!

Then they introduced a special guest... Mr. Danny Wuerffel, and the place went CRAZY!!! Danny spoke in his typical self-effacing and thankful manner. He then introduced...  Mr Chris Leak, and the place again went CRAZY!!! Chris spoke in an equally self-effacing and thankful manner. Chris said his greatest and most proud accomplishment was graduating from the University of Florida. How truly blessed we've been to have such class-A genuinely good men as Danny and Chris represent our school. Thanks for the memories fellahs.

The celebration concluded with the playing of We Are the Boys and the Alma Mater. My heart almost burst out of my chest, along with everyone else in the stadium we were so overwhelmed with pride and joy. The entire team did a quick parade around the edge of the stands. I noticed Tebow making every effort to stop and sign as many autographs as he could, looks like he has the class and spirit to fill Chris and Danny's cleats well one day.

Suffice it to say it was one of the GREATEST DAYS EVER TO BE A FLORIDA GATOR!!!
