This post illustrates why we have been pretty much getting who we target.  This post is from the father of bluechip LB prospect Vince Williams.  He is a self professed lifelong nole fan and he has nothing but positive statements about UF recruiting.

  The timetable is up to Vince. He could shock me and say "I've decided" at any point BUT as of now...he plans on waiting awhile...see who offers...research the schools that offer (academics, depth chart, coaches, players, location) visit the ones he really likes, and then decide.


To respond to another post:

I won't post specifics (what this coach says or doesn't say) because I do not want to adversly affect his recruiting with any school.

I can say in general terms that UF has its act together! They text him, they email him, they have visited his school...they are very personal, and stay abreast of what is happening with him. EXAMPLES:

#1. We visited several schools this season unofficially for games...UF was the ONLY ONE to email Vince the next day and thank us (him and me) for visiting...little thing, and even if it was done by a GA (not sure) it doesn't matter. It still shows that someone there cared enough to thank us!

#2. Whenever something happens with Vince in the award department (Player of the year...top SPARQ rating...named in the top 20 of juniors in FL) the ONLY SCHOOL to email him and congratulate him on his accomplishments is UF!

#3. UF was THE ONLY school we visited this past year that allowed parents on the sideline with the recruits for pregame warmups....and it was the ONLY SCHOOL that allowed the recruit's male parent in the lockeroom during the postgame. Very exciting for a parent.

You can tell that whole football recruitng staff has their act act together as I am sure that Urban isn't sitting around reading local sports sections from around the state to see if a recruit made all county.  You know if they are doing the little things like thanking them for visiting that they have the UF recruiting machine well-oiled and humming.
