Most have been saying that if you're going to get the Gators, then this is the year. Well, Auburn's had Florida's number for two years in a row. Meyer has never coached a team that lost to the same opponent two times in a row. Well, he has now. Meyer has never coached a team that beat a team coached by Tuberville. Hpefully we'll get chance to play again before the rotation rolls around again (i.e., in a bowl game).
Despite all that has been said about Tuberville, I thought he represented Auburn well. When his kicker made the FG, he acted like he's been there before. When he was interviewed at the end of the game, he acted with class and dignity. You all should be pleased with him as your coach (which is not something our friends in Tennessee can easily say, today).
I was not pleased with the offensive play-calling last night. I have never been a coach before, but I just can't understand why we're not running the ball with our running backs and why we've gone away from our receivers running the ball as much as they've done in the past. It seems like we did an effective job of running last year and in the first three games this year. Mullen's offensive game plan against Auburn left something to be desired. Despite the protestations of Tebow carrying the ball too much, he did it again, carrying for over 10 times.
This is a young Gator team, folks. They needed everything to jell at the right time. So far, they've done pretty well. Now, let's see what happens next...
