14 months ago my son was born with the cord around his neck and came out of birth with trauma and a facial palsy or partial paralysis of his face. Every night when he got home I had to shuttle between my wife who was injured during the pregnancy and being with him. He couldn't shut one eye and/or move 1/2 his face. I remember shutting his eyelid for him and praying one day he would be able to do it.

Now he is a great little boy that most wouldn't recognize anything was ever wrong...and almost 14 months later mom is getting better too.

He will always be a fighter in my book and all I can say is what Jimmy V once said....

"Don't give up, don't ever give up."

I shed a tear writing this tonight as I have never shared this story, but want you know that no matter how it looks...
