I like the sense I am getting from this Board and I wonder if it is present across the whole fan base.  I sense understated but very solid confidence in this year's team.  We've been poster children here for the brash, cocky bravado of the Spurrier years, the divisive frustration of the Zook years, the renewed optimism of Urban's first year, the refreshingly wild ride of his second year and the carefully acknowledged patience of last year.  

But this year, I sense something a little different.  I sense that rarest of emotions.  I sense the ultimate in psychic contradiction.  I sense controlled euphoria, if you will indulge the phrase.  All the signs point to an Offense unlike any we've ever had and we've already had some of the best in the history of college football and certainly, the conference.   Our Special Teams have dominated and won us games and we believe they will continue to do so.  Credit the Defense for keeping us under control.  Until we see the improvement, we have to stay cool.  But we know the kind of horses we have and we figure they will be better with a year under their belts.  

So here we sit.  Individually standing down, trying to remain cool.  Telling our rivals "We think we have a chance to be pretty danged good" while we think to ourselves "We MIGHT just kick everyone's ass."      Collectively, the Nation is groaning under this tension.  Like a man holding the Ace of spades, this Board and rest of the Gator world waits for the time when we can all drop the pretense and put it out on the table where it belongs. 

I will predict it now.  At some point this season, we will ALL be Jimmy V.
