"One big wind then gentle breezes for the game, I'd guess. (or not)"

CONTEXT ADDED BY ADMIN:
END OF CONTEXT

We had the rain part of this front pass thru Pensacola yesterday about 8pm or so CST.  Actually most all the rain missed us.  It hasn't gotten any colder yet.  But just now it is getting extemely windy outside.  I'd suspect the wind will bring in a nice drop in temperatures as it moves towards Gainesville.  So that took about 9 hours between the front and the wind.  The wind has quickly died.  Just breezes afterwards.  Sorta unusual in time and length for a cold front.  Must be quite weak.

The rain front is on top of Gainesville right now.  Assuming the front doesn't slow down or compress in the Florida bend, I'd assume the wind will hit Florida Field around 3pm EST.  Just in time for settling in for the game.  I'm going to guess you get one big blast of wind for 5 minutes and then a settling in of cooler temps. Bring a sweater if you plan to stay late in the evening.

But of course....I will be proven wrong for thinking again.

Ok, ok...I just went outside again.  Temp down more.  Wind is back to big gusts.  Eff it.  You people will probably die going outside!  That is my weather report.  Thank me for the conviction later.

Wait!!!  I just went outside once again.  The wind is now blowing west here.  That can only mean one thing.  A huge ass cold front is sucking in all it's force and about to kill everyone in it's path (good news...TT, OU and UT are already dead..so we get BCS Title game by default before we die...woo hooo).  I apologize for the earlier report...when the wind gets to Gainesville it will be lasting for a long while.  And it will never be a quarter long advantage for anyone as it shifts directions.

p.s.  How the hell did I end up with the only "non-pine tree" in NW Florida in my yard?  This bastard is turning brown, orange and yellow and spilling leaves all over hell in this wind.  Is it cheaper to pay someone to rake this or just buy 20 gallons of gas to burn the yard?  SG?  Bimmer?  I can guarantee you it won't see next fall....either way.  I own an axe and I'm not afraid to use it.

Oh...just checked outside again.  Very gentle breeze.  10 degree drop in temp.  Second half of game should be nice.  You probably won't die as I secondarily predicted.  Sorry.  Training for the Weather Channel.  I'd give you visuals of me falling down next to that non-pine tree while trying to report....but I'm saving them for the interview.
