"I am a HUGE Florida Homer; I wear the O&B Glasses, but that said..." |

CONTEXT ADDED BY ADMIN: END OF CONTEXT ...sometimes I honestly think these fans and/or media-outlets are deliberately lying. The stated facts are so inconceivably in err. Alabama apparently has a great defense. Everyone should nod. Alabama wins games on its physical defense. Everyone should nod again. Florida was #1 in the SEC in scoring defense seven days ago. Then Florida played the #25 scoring offense in the nation and Alabama played the 110th scoring offense. One-hundred-and-@#&%ing-tenth. And now Florida is behind Alabama by a grand total of 9 points. 138 points allowed versus 147 allowed. That works out to 0.75 more points per game. Florida's defense is ranked higher than Alabama in: Pass Efficiency Defense Pass Defense Passes Intercepted Turnovers Gained Sacks Red Zone Defense ...and is top-25 nationally in: Rushing Defense (#12) Scoring Defense (#4) Total Defense (#7) Third-down Defense (#15) Fourth-down Defense (#21) First-down Defense (#12) ...B-B-But these conversations begin-and-end with Alabama's defense. The entire @#&%ing game is about Alabama's defense VS Florida's offense. When Alabama's offense comes on the field, they'll just play 'Simon Birch' on the jumbo trons while both teams have a smoke break and feast on the catering. Florida's defense isn't much to talk about. Alabama has had to do it against a tougher schedule. Yeah. I've heard that. From my fans on Bama's boards, actually. Nevermind the difference in NCAA rank. Where Florida has the 3rd hardest schedule and Alabama has the 68th. They only have six of the same @#&%ing common opponents out of 12 games. And the Gators have not faced a defense as good as Bama this year. Not a one. Oh yeah, Tennessee is 4th in total defense in the nation. South Carolina is 11th. Florida State is 13th. Mississippi is 16th. Miami is 24th. Similar numbers for other defense categories too, like scoring defense. There was a time when Kentucky was #1 in the SEC in defense. Then Florida happened. So not only is Alabama going to dominate a defense ALMOST STATISTICALLY IDENTICAL TO THEIR OWN that boasts the SEC's sack leader (Dunlap), the SEC's #2 interception leader (Black, 1 INT behind Berry at UT) and the #1 Linebacker in the SEC, they're also going to stop clearly the best offense in the SEC because of what happened in 1992 when they didn't get respected enough against Miami. LOL At what point, do you say 'these @#&% tards are deliberately ignoring the facts? |
