"Frankly, I see nothing wrong with the head coach LOVING where he is coaching....."

nor do I see anything wrong with a fan base wanting him to. Ever since Meyer has come to UF, all he has ever preached is how "You don't leave a place like this, unless you're an assistant or you take an NFL job but if you're a head coach at Florida, you don't choose to leave." That is a direct quote and one that has been made several times. I've read the story where Shelly Meyer has told her kids many times that when Daddy takes another job, he is just climbing the mountain and then told the heartwarming story where little Nate Meyer said when Daddy came to UF, "Mommy, is Daddy still climbing the mountain"? Mommy replied, "No son he is at the mountain top!" (You could almost hear the Hallmark Channel Music in the background)

Sorry, but the ND job is to attractive college head coaching posts what The Three Stooges are to comedy. Both used to at the top in both categories a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away......

Having a passion for where you're coaching should be the case and in my opinion expected. This is one of the things I liked so much about Phil Fulmer. We like to talk so much about SOS was "one of us". Then he leaves and then comes back to coach against us. I remain appreciative of what he did @ UF but that's one thing Fulmer never, ever considered. For more than half of his life, (35 years) Fulmer was clad in Tennessee Orange in some capacity and only is no longer because he was aksed to leave. He loves UT and would never, ever, ever think of leaving on a volunteer (no pun) basis much less coach against them. Take all the "Fat Phil" juvenile cracks at him you like although why allegedly grown adults think it is cool to use cut downs that were all the rage when they were in the third grade I will never know, but Fulmer's passion for UT, Bryant's passion for Alabama, Dooley's passion for UGA, and Spurrier's one time passion for UF is the kind of passion I want our coach to have. I do not want a coach who thinks of his job at UF simply as employment and nothing more.

I've been to Alabama and people it ain't a whole lot to see. Skynyrd says it's a real sweet home but it ain't nothing to me. Charlie Daniels will tell you the good Lord lives in Tennessee ha! But I'ma goin' back to the GATOR COUNTRY where the wine and the women are free. There's a Gator in the bushes and he's calling my name and he's sayin', C'mon boy you better make it back home
