"US Captain Freed. Internet Yahoos Apologize to Obama." |
|
CONTEXT ADDED BY ADMIN: END OF CONTEXT (AP) Following news that Richard Phillips, the cargo ship captain who had been held hostage by Somali pirates was freed and that three of captors were killed by US Navy Seals and the forth captured, internet posters who had immediately used this incident to condemn President Barak Obama issued their apologies. "It was absurd for me to assume the administration was doing nothing about this incident. Obviously they were, and I am sorry for flying off the handle," said HNole on a popular sports related politics board. "All I can say is it's a good thing Obama is in charge and not me or anyone who thinks like I do. Time was obviously on the Navy's side and they were right to wait for the right time to act. Had I been in charge that captain would probably be dead right now." A poster who goes only by Lightning echoed these sentiments and added, "I really should dial down my knee jerk negative reaction to anything Obama does. I'm going to try harder to get a better understanding of the issues involved and see things from all sides rather than just embrace what Rush tells me." There was no word from the administration about these apologies. This led Dog the Doople to conclude that, "Hussein doesn't care what Americans think and he should be impeached." |
