CONTEXT ADDED BY ADMIN: END OF CONTEXT I know that I'm not much of a frequent visitor on the VS of late (not much for talking about wine, boats for sale, or the best price of an HDTV....just Gator Football!) but I do respect you all and wanted to say thanks for being there these last 9 years! You helped me at times more than you will ever know, with issues and insights that were troubling me concerning my children and their education. And you gave me proper guidance about what you did with your children when they were there. You listened to me, when I neede it most and repsonded in kind. You were all there as my 2 children progressed through life, eventually both landing at the University of Florida, each to earn their degrees.
Saturday, it's Ashley's turn to take "center stage" in our family's eyes, to walk across that stage, to shake hands with someone who I assume to be of some importance, and proudly walk off that stage as an alumni of the greatest public university in the land, THE University of Florida!
Remarkably, she's done it faster than any of us ever did it...in less than 3 years. Thank God for Advance Placement and Dual Enrollment courses in today's Florida high schools.
Yes, we are very proud of her....but I think ( as a family) what makes us all the most proud is the fact that the 4 of us...me, Donna, Aaron, and now Ashley... will have walked across that same or similar stage and received our degrees from UF. I'm not too sure, but I don't think that too many families can boast such an accomplishment.
Again, thank you....more than you'll ever know, you were a big part it. And will continue to be for me and mine!
Go Gators!
