"The United States should invade immediately"

CONTEXT ADDED BY ADMIN:
END OF CONTEXT

We should destroy the Honduran military and crush all resistance.  Once we have completely destroyed the infrastructure and demoralized the populace, we should then perform a thorough search for weapons of mass destruction.  When we don't find any, we can blame subversive Honduran elements for shipping them over the border to Venezuala, who might very well be next on the hit list.  We should threaten Venezuala with the same consequence as Honduras.  Maybe that will bring them into line, just like North Korea.  It will most likely cause them to disarm their military, in the hopes that they can avoid a similar fate.

We can then fight all the terrorists that flock to Honduras, so that we don't have to fight them on American soil.  We will spend hundreds of billions of dollars rebuilding the country we just destroyed, under the auspices that we will recoup this "investment" from the proceeds of banana and coffee exports.  Thousands of brave American soldiers will die trying to maintain some semblence of social and political order in the process.  But we all know freedom isn't free.

We will occupy the country for the next ten years, in order to win the hearts and minds of the people, teaching them about the kind benevolence of our wonderful democracy.  Nothing creates understanding and acceptance quite like the barrel of a gun.  We will teach them about our great Constitution, and the respect we have for it.  How it is the highest law of our land, and how it provides for the actions we have taken to secure their country for them.

Honduras will become a shining beacon of stability and hope in the region.  They will love us and thank us for our efforts, and the hundreds of billions of dollars we will have borrowed and spent on their behalf.

All of this will improve our image and standing in the global community, as they see the example we are setting in our leadership towards the goal of world peace.
