but in general and applied to all it includes.

Having been married for 25 years I realize when my wife and I argue how easy it is to get caught up in being right. We have went to great lengths and argued for days to try and get the last word that finally proves how we were right and the other was wrong. How many people do that? A bunch I would say. As many of you have already undoubtedly figured out in the grand scheme of a long and espescially a loving marriage right or wrong is really irrelavent. The only thing that matters is solving the issue at hand and moving forward with our relationship.

Now apply that same standard to our nation's politics. What are we doing here on this board and nationally? Too many of us are concerned about right and wrong. This back and forth argument has been going on for years and years and what is the result? It is tearing our country apart just like constant fighting will do to a marriage, and I know some of you can understand that. Only when we as individuals and as a nation start concentrating on solving the issue instead of trying to be right 100% of the time will our country improve. Only then can we stop the talking heads from distracting us. Only then can we become unified and strong.

Undoubtedly some of you will right this off as a conservative american who is just mad because Obama got elected. Nothing could be further from the truth. I was more concerned with party in the past than I should have been, but those days are gone. I am tired of the rhetoric from both sides. Yes I feel much different about the national debt and other fiscal issues than in the past. Is that because of party? Absolutely NOT! It is because I have become a more informed citizen. All of this window dressing of passing this or that is not solving the problem. Common sense tells me we can not keep spending at the rate we are regardless of how much good people think the programs are. What will our government be able to do for the poor and downtrodden if they are flat busted broke? This ignoring of our fiscal issues has manifested itself in our personal and corporate greed  resulting in the mortgage crisis. The next shoe to drop will be our country going bankrupt because of ignoring the problem.

You guys can think what you want of me and consider it political talk if you want. All I can say is we keep on with I can see where we are heading and more people all the time are waking up to the reality too. I can only hope it happens sooner rather than later.

Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise. For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.
