CONTEXT ADDED BY ADMIN: END OF CONTEXT you act as if AGW is "settled" and I am trying to over turn it for some partisan reason . . . and this totally negates any criticism one might have of the science or, more specifically, the policy. The issue is this . . . the "believers" are wanting to shove a world-wide global policy down our throats that will greatly hurt our economy and specifically raise taxes on all of us. Now even if one believed government had the right to do this . . . and even if one believed government had the solutions for this . . . we should do this based on a very good understand of climate and how we are affecting it. This understanding is lacking today. Their own models, the ones that they predict all this doom and gloom into the future, don't even fit the data they have today. Now even if this data were to fit their models and even if the science were closer to something you label as "settled" (which science never is) there would be "deniers". There is no doubt of this. But the grand scale of government intervention into our lives being proposed is not supported by the same grand understanding, theory and data, in climate science. We are putting the cart WAY before the horse.
