CONTEXT ADDED BY ADMIN: END OF CONTEXT sticking pretty close to a 1500 calorie diet Monday through Friday. Not fun, but I've willingly bought a ticket on the hunger train and have ridden it for a couple of weeks. Today I thought I'd have some cereal for breakfast. Decided I'd only eat a single serving instead of filling the Jethro Bodine-size serving bowl I normally consume. Read the box: 3/4 cup of Coco-Puffs w/ skim milk (skim milk? what the hell is that?) = 150 calories. Measured out 3/4 cup. WTF!? Is this crap made in Munchkin Land? Are these serving sizes calculated for people who have had a gastric bypass? That's like 3 spoonfuls. It wouldn't have been enough cereal when I was 8 let alone now. This ticked me off so much I ate a pound of bacon, hash browns and 6 eggs instead. And washed it down with a 16oz glass of chocolate milk that was half Hershey's syrup. |
