I come before you today to announce my retirement from college football coaching and my abandonment of one of the best classes in the history of college football recruiting. I also am happy to say that I walk away from a team that is absolutely loaded As I depart from this program which I helped build into one of the most impressive national powers in the current college football landscape in order to take a job with the Dallas Cowboys – a franchise run by a megalomaniac with involvement issues and an uncontrollable urge to fire people – I hope that the University of Florida fans will do as I am and simply walk away from the school and sport they love to root on the Cowboys, so that they can watch me beat my head against the wall until I have a nervous breakdown and am found hiding on the 6th floor of the book depository with a rifle waiting for Jerry Jones to pass by." |
