I don't know if anyone else has posted on this topic, but I am really concerned about how coaches and athletics departments are handling some of these things. It is abundantly clear that UGA officials knew enough prior to our game with them in Athens that they may have two ineligible players, yet they played them. Enough information was known by then, but the powers that be failed to act. Certainly they knew before the game on Sunday. The Ga fans acted liked they won the National Championship when they beat us, storming the court, hugging their cheating coaches and players, knowing full well the hammer was already falling. They had to beat Florida so badly I guess.
Prior to this, it is apparent that FSU knew AD had some issues prior to the NCSS game, but allowed him to play. They knew about the check, and some gambling concerns, but they allowed him to play. At what point does a university rep decide a player can't play? After you beat your arch rival? After a player is just so deep in it the press won't let go? Is ait a roll of the dice to see if you can get away with as much as possible until the shoe drops? I mean think of it, you know you have a problem, so you just cover it up until it is out of control knowing you are caught anyway?
There is contemptable behavior at all levels and we let these guys slide. Albert Means brings down at least two schools with ore to come possible? You can't let him skate and have 85 + players get hammered can you? Apparently you can. AD is a known crimminal, 50 bad checks, and he is your starting qb? You know the law is after him, and he plays anyway? Teddy Dupey is turned in by a teammate and dismissed from the team, and Brett gets the rath from the fans? The university administrators and coaches speak of honesty and representing the university well, and they hire known cheaters and seemed stunned when he does it there as well? Hired by a cheating AD no less.
Finally, Galen Hall payed an assistant extra money from his owm pocket and arranges for a ride for a player to make his child support payement, and he is black balled for 5 years from the NCAA while Kines and Andrews are free to coach? Contemptable at all levels.
