Hogtown in the immediate turn to the 70's and for seven years after.....Skynard....Mudcrutch....long haired hippies.....Krishnas....worked at Physical Plant for Shands for awhile.....and out at the Vet Farm before getting a "real" job advising professors through the Division of Sponsored Research. Real job...lol....had to get a waiver from the Pres (Marston, I think, can't remember) to pay me above the allowed student wages...I think it was $2.50 per hour. Coffee breaks on the Plaza and there wasn't any coffee...if you get my drift.

Owned a car...it was permanently parked in the backyard. Couldn't afford the gas. It was either gas or a stash. That's why bikes were made. Living in various places including the Duck Pond.

Young, idealistic, stupid, naive. We were going to change the world. I wouldn't trade the memories for a million dollars (OK, yes, I would)....Gainesville was a very, very, happening place back then.

A corner of my life to be cherished and never forgotten.
