I sat and watched Urban look lost tonight, at times I wondered if he was even aware of what was happening.

Play calling was beyond horrible, D was just awful.

I never doubted a win no matter how bad (and we looked awful bad) until the last TD. I was telling myself "no doubt we will hold em, make em kick a 3, and take it in overtime.

I was sick and pissed................almost to tears mad.

Squealed out of my parking space cussing everything and everyone in my way.

I wanted someones head tonight.

Then my Dad called, my 76 y/o Dad that has sat through much more misery than most of us.

He reminded me of things I had forgotten, because I have become spoiled, I expect perfection, I expect to win out , beat everyone to a pulp every year, every game.

He reminded me of when a 7-4 record was a very good year, a trip to any bowl was pure heaven, he reminded me of our dominance over the puppies the last 20 years, beating the crap out sow for all the marbles, and adding 2 more crystals to the collection with the current guy in charge.

He told me it would all be OK, he told me the days of the old Gator motto "wait till next year" are gone and have been for a long time.........we just can't win em all and have to understand we will be down at times, but we are up a whole lot more than we have ever been in his lifetime.

He is a proud old gator.

I am 51, and am glad I still listen to my Dad.

He's right again. I am spoiled rotten.

And I am damn proud and lucky to be a Gator.
