"What a ridiculously fun and obnoxious last 7 days it has been" |

CONTEXT ADDED BY ADMIN: END OF CONTEXT Adventure was had, but I'm glad to be home. My nine friends and I strode across Sin City in seven league boots horrifying all in our path and watching more basketball than is humanly possible. Unbelievable finishes and stunning upsets - as usual. There is no better time to follow NCAA basketball than during the first weekend of March Madness and no better place to watch it than in Vegas. Noles cheered for Gators and Gators cheered for Noles and money was won both ways - even had Nole friends who did the chomp, but nary a Gator did the chop - there is a line that can't be crossed. I met Elvis at the slots, he looks well considering. I talked with a wrestler who was a bar back and my friends told him I could pin him in 8 seconds - he had his doubts. We met a men's room attendant with a 2 foot mohawk. I watched $900 disappear down a slot machine in under10 minutes and then saw $250 more evaporate in a single pull. I saw Larry Bird in a restroom. Not only did I run into the Dude at a Faux2 concert on Fremont Street but I also met Rick & Diane there. I was in 12 different hotels and drank in at least twice that many bars. I finally came home a winner in basketball betting, but blew it all and more on a ranch worth of rich food and an ocean of alcohol yet I didn't gain a pound. I missed the VS, but I couldn't find time to check in 'til yesterday. Hope some of you took time out of your busy schedules to watch the Gator games. They were of the entertaining variety. Erving Walker is now Lord Mayor of Tampa and a legend in Vegas. We're coming for you Jimmer, and hell's coming with us. |
