First of all, in the interview I saw Bush had with Brokaw the other night, he said we have so far searched about 90 out of about 200 potential (suspected) WMD hiding places. But I brought this to the top because I wanted to re-address a comment I made on this board right before the war started.
I had made the comment (paraphrasing) that if no WMD were found in Iraq, this war may end up being one of the biggest frauds ever perpetrated on the American people. I just wanted to say that I totally recant that statement.
While I am not the biggest GWB fan around, I do believe he and his administration believe Iraq was manufacturing them. That said, I am now of the belief that the war on Iraq turned out to be one of the most humanitarian acts of our time and I feel sorry for those who are too blinded by their prejudices and their agendas to enjoy it and/or share in that prideful feeling.
If we find WMD/chemical weapons, then good for the Bush admin. If we never do, I'll feel the same way.
