CONTEXT ADDED BY ADMIN: END OF CONTEXT It was a cheap off brand one though. I found it while I was engaging in my favorite hobby of collecting interesting street gravel. The eraser is almost gone - ragged and torn, I had to sharpen it and there are bite marks on it. It's not nearly as nice as the pencil I found two years ago. That was a Futura #4, very hard, thin lead, from the Richard Best Pencil Co. It was only about 3" long, but still quite a find. Around August of last year it finally wore down too far and became unusable. I miss that pencil dearly. I fear the one found yesterday will not live up to the Futura. Surely only sorrow and tears can come from trying to settle after having had a pencil so fine as the Futura #4, but such is my lot in life. |
