My dad never set foot in a UF classroom either. He started going games in the late 60s. One of his Navy buddies went to UF and took my dad a few times and he was hooked. He went to most of the home games in the 70s and some away games too.

I was brought to my first game when I was 11 months old. It was Army at UF '78. I think we went to the Bucs game in Tampa the next day. The first game I remember is the 1982 USC game. I also remember the Indiana State game (played in a storm). We started getting season tickets the year that they build the South End Zone (1982).

I can't put into words how much I love the Gators and how much space the University of Florida takes up of my heart. I am a very lucky guy to be able to go to so many games, whether it is football, basketball, baseball or any of the others. What makes it more special is being with my dad for almost all of these games. Together we haven't missed a home football game since 1982.
