Just got back from luncheon at Bronco Nagurski Charlotte Touchdown Club.  Took a couple of customers to see Urban speak.  He did a great job. 

He talked about sitting on the tarmac at Gvlle Regional after the ’05 South Carolina game.  Said near the end of the flight he could hear laughter in the back of the plane.  2 hours later they had two less players and a different attitude about playing football at the University of Florida.  He spoke about stepping down and got choked up.  Said he made the decision so he could spend more time with his kids.  His priest asked Urban how do you spell love?  Answer: T I M E.  Urban said he only has one time to watch his girls grow up but it takes time to do that.  Very moving.  The intro highlight film of Urban was phenomenal.  Gave me goosebumps and so proud to be a Gator.

I stood in line with the other autograph seekers.  When it came to my turn I said, “Urban, I don’t want your autograph.  I already have it displayed in my Gator room and office.  I just want to say thank you for what you did for the school I love so much. “  His smile was huge - - and sweet.
