"I bought 7 bags of candy for treaters..." |
CONTEXT ADDED BY ADMIN: END OF CONTEXT My mission was to not have any candy left... I usually average around a little over 100 treaters a year but I thought this year was going to be lower. 6:15 - my first treater shows up... I grab about 5 pieces and drop them into the bag 6:30 - the count of treaters is up to 10. Things are kind of slow so I'm worried I'll have lots of candy left. 6:45 - the count is only 16. I continue to hand out 5 pieces at a time. Tons of candy left. 7:00 - things are picking up. The count is now 31. So I go to around 4 pieces. I still think lots of candy left 7:15 - all of sudden I'm up to 52 people. Not to worry. I've gone through about 2/3rds of my candy. 7:30 - my count is up to 76 people. Probably have about 40 pieces of candy left. Will be turning the lights off soon. 7:45 - as I go out to handle what I thought would be the last treater, it was like a swarm. One by one, they came to my house asking for candy. They were everywhere. I panicked. I counted the numbers and I counted the candy. I didn't have enough. So I had to do a shameful thing. I had to make it look like I dropped candy into some of the sacks when I actually didn't. I think I did it to two kids that had lots of candy. When it was over, I rushed into the house, turned off the porch light, garage light, house lights and went straight to the basement hoping the rest of the treaters don't TP my house. |
