Somebody's got to pay. So the Republicans need to get it together, bargain for spending cuts by agreeing to tax hikes, and let's see where we get. But this position that taxes cannot be raised under any circumstances is absurd and ultimately self defeating. In politics you have to bargain. The Republicans are not bargaining. So I say kick their asses out of office and put somebody in there who is willing to deal with the issues head on. We can't even get a Republican candidate to propose a budget or articulate a foreign policy, outside of Ron Paul of course. Ron is the only one who speaks in something other than general talking points with respect to the issues. Which is why nobody takes him seriously I guess. How much sense does that make? The only guy that actually says what he's going to do and has the record to support it is the one the party has the least faith in. That says a lot to me, and not in a positive way. That's ass backwards, just the way our politics works. The politicians don't represent their constituents, for the best interests of their country. They represent their lobbyists and special interests, for the betterment of themselves and their careers. |
