My position is this. Get in a seat and stay in it for the entire ride. I'm a little shocked to see all of the flip flopping that has occurred in the last four years. The right side has become the chastisers and the left have become the supporters of the actions in Afghanistan. Really? It's nothing more than blind allegiance to the political party they happen to like. Pick the issue that was fanatically supported, or opposed, when their guy was or was not in office and they now have an exactly opposite view.

Whenever it's questioned why better candidates aren't offered to run for office, or when we wonder why a current turd that's sitting in office is STILL there after decades, do we REALLY need to look hard for the answer? No, we don't do we?

My view on Afghanistan is really simple. Either end it now or take the leashes off of the dogs of war so we can. Drone attacks? I support them 100% as long as the target area is confirmed beyond a shadow of a doubt. I have a long list of investments in the war on terror, so I personally want to walk away the winner so the last decade plus isn't a wasted effort. I want to win it.

This war has been a political issue for two elections....and going on a third. Both of the previous election promises have been nothing but lip service. Has it not? Ask yourself why it has been, and the root cause not be political party, it will be because of the flip-flopping that blind allegiance provides the politicians.

Some people need to stop waving the little yellow flags and shouting acclomation "we support our troops", because their words and deads show that they are supporting "their guy". On the flip side, some people need to stop railing against the current admin for doing EXACTLY what they supported just 4 years ago when "their guy" did it.
