I haven't heard this story since I was little, so I got a reminder tonight.  I knew my Dad was always a UF Gator fan, even though he never attended UF.  He attended a game or two before I was born, but that's it.

Now that Mom is sick, we're hearing stories from both of them that we haven't heard in so many years that we've forgot most of them.  We were talking about the horrible bullying by the punks against the 68 yr old school bus monitor, which led to talking about bullying we've heard about or experienced over the years.  That's when Dad brought up being bullied by a kid when he was in elementary school.  The kid picked on him daily and since dad was scrawny (was being the key word here!), he tolerated it.  It wasn't until the kid showed up at his house and killed his "pet gator" that dad had had enough.  We laughed and asked about his pet gator.  Sure enough, he had a gator that he kept on a leash in his front yard, (doesn't everyone?), so when he found out the kid killed his gator, he went to the classroom, called him out in the hall, and beat the crap out of him.  The kid never messed with him again.

Moral of the story?  You don't mess wiith gator fans!! ;-)
