"News from my colon! (Do I get a star for ickiest subject line?)"

I took three tests: CEA (blood marker for tumor presence), CAT scan (to see if it has spread) and biopsies (chunks of the beast itself, to be analyzed for malignancies)

It gives me reason for optimism that CEA was normal, CAT was negative (no spread) and biopsies were all benign. I'm having surgical consults on 7/2 and 7/12 about when I'll have to have sharp objects used in my posterior and what the plan will be after.

Thanks to you all for your thoughts and prayers, it really does help to get them and know that you care enough to give them.  My advice is: GET YOUR DAMNED COLONOSCOPIES REGULARLY!
