I know the kid looks to be a stud, and now he'll likely end up kicking ass somewhere else. But, he didn't get into UF. It happens.

No, I'm not so dilusional as to think 100% of our football players are destined for academic greatness, but I still do like the fact that these kids play football at a very good institution of higher learning and have to meet our requirements.

Of all the reasons that stud high school football players don't become Gators, this one bothers me the least. Now, could we explore ways to improve the communication between Admissions and the Athletic Department? It certainly seems so. Nobody wants to see this happen and there probably is a way to improve the knowledge gap between National Signing Day and the first day student athletes report to UF.

I'm a huge Gator football fan like everyone else here, but my pride in my Alma Mater isn't limited to football.
