"Well......the VS thought/prayer power comes through again"

Edited by Author at 7/17/2012 - 6:50 p.m.

So, today I saw the neurologist, the opthamologist and my primary care physician

My MRI did show signs of some minor thinning of the veins at the extremities, but "nothing uncommon for people my age". But there were no signs of stroke and all other tests and lab results give no reason to indicate that I definitively had a TIA (though still technically possible). And so, based on my description of the vision loss to the opthamologist  and all the tests he performed he feels almost certain that I had an retinal migraine. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Retinal_migraine (I had no headache or other symptoms aside from the vision loss)

He indicated that only 40% of these coincide with a headache as well. And added that I will likely experience one again. (If the frequency increases I may need to take medication for them)

While this is not great news it certainly is the best news I could have gotten.

And I would like to add that every Dr I saw said that I did the right thing by going to the ER. If you EVER experience any sudden vision loss....even if only temporary and/or partial......PLEASE SEEK MEDICAL ATTENTION.

Thank you all for the kind words, thoughts and prayers. It REALLY helped.

 God Bless You All.
