Message Replied To ========== There is no doubt his philosphies are more in the direction of spreading or redistributing dollars than many (including myself) prefer. It's one of the reasons I am on the fence at this point about where my vote will be going. But when you look at the silly comments/"thread starters" (and I use the term loosely) by MiamiGator on this board, as well as the context of many others we see all the time, you would have to agree that many are taking that quote in a direction that doesn't make the same point you are making.============================== ....in some of his speeches. That's what came across to me in hearing the speech in question versus just reading the written word. Lip service aside, I think he really doesn't understand business. That can be said about a lot of politicians, but the lower profile pols can get away with it. His lack of understanding can lead to this kind of impromptu off-script slip-up being perceived as the "real" Obama showing who he really is and what he really believes. And whether the perception is the truth doesn't really matter, especially in politics. There's a reason political candidates spend so much time and money on their messaging. |
