And certainly not with the lowest tax revenues as a percentage of GDP in he post-war era.============================== Expenses could be cut to well above zero, and the deficit could still be eliminated. The economy would tank in the near term, and a lot of people would be p.o.'d, but that's not the issue. The issue was the claim that cutting spending wouldn't eliminate the deficit. In reality, if we cut deep enough, cutting spending would be enough, only people don't have the stomach or balls for doing what's right. They'd rather enslave their children and grandchildren. |
