"Mea culpa! I hadn't belived there was organized voter registration fraud in FL"

The FL GOP was caught submitting 106 "questionable" voter registration forms in Palm Beach County. "The forms were said to all have similar signatures, changed addresses and party affiliations, and other defects which appear to have all been done by the same hand."  The party now has said it was shocked! shocked! to learn that it's contractor, the notorious Nathan Sproul, was doing the deed, but quickly pointed the finger at the national GOP who uses Sproul for a variety of dirty tricks.

Sproul's shell corporations have been caught in voter scams in other states.  He also currently is a paid consultant for the Romney campaign.  Sproul is the highest paid contractor reported by FL GOP in 2012, but the party spokesman said Sproul no longer will be paid under the current corporate name, Strategic Allied Consulting.  The door is open for Sproul to create another shell corporation to earn more GOP millions.

It's uncertain whether the GOP slipped fake registration forms past election officials in other counties.  The GOP paid Sproul more than $1.3 million to register new GOP voters, but has been a virulent opponent of other registration initiatives.  The same FL GOP that is behind the fraud passed legislation promising jail terms to the League of Women Voters, the PTA and other volunteer organizations that traditionally have led FREE voter registration drives.

The GOP and Sproul have similar operations in other states.  Their help wanted ad in North Carolina states, “Employees will go to high traffic areas, identify conservative voters, ensure that their voter registration is up to date, and then report back at night with their data and the voter registration forms that they collected.”  That tactic was a criminal offense in FL voter registration law before the recent GOP legislation.  I hope it continues, but I can't say for sure.

The FL GOP now has said since Sproull got caught, they no longer will pay him for fraud.  That one reminds me of Dylan singing, "...In New Jersey everything's legal, as long as you don't get caught."
