Message Replied To ========== Noles sure are cocky about the Miami game I guess the times have really changed in that rivalry. Used to be the Noles were always nervous about playing the Canes, especially in Miami. I had two Nole colleagues tell me this morning that Stephen Morris was irrelevant to the game and that only Jimbo's playcalling would affect the outcome, and even then they could get away with some bad plays but still win comfortably. They do seem to be getting a little nervous about the Gators though.============================== The Noles want so much to be relevent again...on one hand the crow about their easy schedule this year and how they are an elite team that should be undefeated in the ACC and with that easy schedule...yet, they do not understand that their extremely poor schedule is why they are not even a consideration for the BCSNC... An ACC conference championship is hardly even discussed, let alone winning the ACC division...a good Nole friend of mine told me years ago that the downside of winning more than one MNC is that expectation from then on are forever changed; only a NC will do...of course I can't totally blame them since an ACC championship is not worth crowing about...even though their 14 titles made them a 'dynasty' team...dynasty my ass... It tears them up so much that we have 3 football MNC titles to their 2, and that ours came in the BCS era...and they have nada for basketball championships to our 2...but what kills them most of all is that our first title came at their expense...the only way they can soothe that butthurt is to win more titles than us... There was a time in my life where I was proud to see that the MNC had to come through the state of Florida...but the unrealistic expectations and sense of entitlement Noles have has changed all that...I hope they lose every game to any opponent...even Miami...yeah, I know, Miami has the thug attitude and are as smug as they can be...but, they do have more titles so they can still be smut for a while longer... The Noles cannot stand it to see any successes of any kind at Florida...perfect example is the Flagship status...they pissed all over themselves just thinking they had been left out of something they deserve...didn't matter what the criteria was/is...cried and moaned because they were left to eat at the little boys table, so to shut them up, they got themselves included...we have a law school, so they need one...and so it goes with everything for the jealous little sisters... But most of all, I would so enjoy the absolute cataclysmic meltdown that would occur if the lowly Canes took down the unconquered ever Noles; epic to say the least...crushing that sense of entitlement like Goliath stepping on a cockroach... Enough rambling... |
