I think there are so many teams in the SEC (LSU, UF, UGA, South Carolina, etc) that are just as good as Bama or very close to them in terms of talent, but the lack of discipline of the aforementioned teams is what separates Bama from the rest. They play so disciplined it's scary.
The jury is still out on the Gator coach, but Miles, Richt, and Spurrier have been around long enough that we know those teams are not going to change.... their players will alway do a lot of smack talking on the field, and they will probably more often than not come up just a little short against teams like Bama.
I guess I'm just old school, but I wish LSU had the "all business" approach. |
