Contrary to your post, we do need both PhDs and MDs studying the risks and ramifications of football in relation to concussions. If we can make the game safer and better identify those who are concussed, then that is to football's advantage.

I use the boxing example above and made mention of my grandfather's disorder. Boxing also serves as a good example because IT was once the national pastime. Baseball after that.

There is no guarantee that football will always reign supreme. However, I believe that we can keep it on top longer if we make the game safer.
